When my pups are tiny, just as their ears are opening at around day 15-17, I start to introduce many different everyday sounds to them, such as fireworks, vehicles, crowd noise, children laughing/screaming/crying, other animal noises, aeroplanes, etc. etc. etc... this helps to desensitize them to these noises from a very young age, before they start to deal with any type of fear. All of this training helps to grow a resilient pup who should not flinch when faced with these noises at a later time in life...
It is always lovely to receive feedback from new owners of my pups, letting me know that my efforts at a young age have paid off in the real world at a later date.....

I received this message on 5th November, a date dreaded by many a dog owner....

"Thank you for all the desensitisation work that you put into Bailey. It really paid off as it felt like we were in a war zone here with all the fireworks going off. He’s the first dog that we’ve had who wasn’t particularly upset with all the bangs and noise going on!!! Thanks again👍🏻x"

Thank you so much to Janet and Chris for taking the time to let me know that Baily was not phased by the fireworks going off around you...
